Reading Session on Forty Rules of Love by Ellif Shafak

The COMSATS Reading Club and the Department of Humanities organized a reading session on ‘Forty Rules of Love’ by Ellif Shafak in FF3, N Block, on 13.4.2016.Ms Shazia Aziz and Ms Shumaila Bari were the main organizers. The participants of discussion included Dr Mudassar Mahmood Ahmed, Dr Emad, Dr Filza Waseem, Dr Musferah Mehfooz, Ms Khazra Ejaz, Ms Shazia Aziz, Ms Javeria Farooqui, Ms Maryam Jahangir, Ms Sadaf Fatima, Ms Ayesha Aziz, Ms Memoona Idress, Ms Rabia Ashraf and Ms Shumaila Bari. The participants discussed the structure, plot and main themes of the book and the work of Rumi, ‘Mathnawi-i Ma’nawi’ known to have inspired the author’s writing of this novel.
